The nearest town, Broadstairs has been a very popular seaside resort since Georgian times. It has many attractions and events during the early spring and summer month.

To Canterbury Pilgrims have been drawn for centuries and its heart-stopping beauty continues as a magnificent testament to man's skill and inspiration. The Cathedral, the ruins of St Augustine's Abbey and the church of St Martin make up the city's Worlds Heritage Site.

Ramsgate has a beautiful harbour with many interesting ships to see.

In nearby Manston you can visit the Spitfire Museum. The Museum shows the memories of the Battle of Britain. Two wartime aircraft are on display plus hundreds of interesting artefacts, together with the Battle of Britain tapestry.

19th and 20th of June The Thanet Air Show is a major annual event celebrating flight.

It offers a full flying display each day alongside live music. There will be children entertainment and Fairground rides. On Saturday evening a free concert and a firework finale will take place.

Powell-Cotton Museum in Birchington shows important African animal and tribal collections, European and Asian weapons, archeology, decorative arts and has a beautiful relaxing garden restaurant.

From the 2nd to the 5th of April there will be a Victorian Easter Event at Powell-Cotton Museum.
